DISCIPLINARY ACTION PLAN
In order to maintain the call of excellence, we have implemented a disciplinary action plan applicable to all SFA students.
- All students are expected to come to class on time and ready to work.
- Students must be in proper gym attire.
- Students are expected to be respectful to their peers and coaches.
EXAMPLES OF UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR
Disrespect to Coach or Staff - not listening, talking back, cursing, etc.
Disrespect to Peers - cursing, pressuring, bullying, hazing, etc.
Physical Contact - hitting, pushing, throwing something at another person, etc.
Misuse of Equipment - hitting someone with the weapon when they are not wearing a mask or are missing equipment, lack of care for equipment, etc.
Step 1: Verbal Warning
The student will be pulled aside and the coach will issue a warning regarding the unacceptable behavior.
Step 2: Letter Home
If a previous action was granted a verbal warning and action occurs again, the coach will write a letter to the parent/guardian regarding the student's unacceptable behavior and the actions they can take to correct it.
Step 3: Detention
If a student's unacceptable behavior is related after steps 1 and 2, the student will be asked to sit out of class.
Step 4: Suspension
If a student has repeated infractions, a parent will be spoken with and the student may be suspended from the school. Length of suspension will be determined by GM and/or Owner.
